Una corretta interpretazione delle due parole Before Then non può far altro che farci riflettere sull’istantanea presenza della musica improvvisata, sulla sua essenza primaria: in italiano dire “prima di allora” non ha quasi nessun senso se non si specificano le azioni collegate, tuttavia qualsiasi lingua riesce a farci intuire perfettamente un pensiero, un momento centrale di un intervallo
