Darkness and night are almost extinct by human illumination, and our illuminated cities make life difficult for those who cherish the dark. When the sun goes down, a whole new world comes to life that most of us know very little about.

Night Lives (Nattliv) is the ambitious, multidisciplinary composition of Norwegian, Oslo-based contemporary composer-clarinetist Kristine Tjøgersen, a sonic excursion into the shrouded world of nocturnal creatures, to the life of those who sing in the dark and communicate on different frequencies.
