The Cologne-based experimental trio of double bass player German Herzog, trombonist Matthias Muche, and Dutch extended snare drum player Etienne Nillesen, known also as T.ON, who is part of the IMPAKT (Improvisation & aktuelle Musik Köln) musicians and label collective. It is known for its innovative approach to sound, and it blurs the boundaries between free improvisation and composition, where shifting textures and microtonal structures unfold in slow-motion transformations and transform into a sound-oriented collective entity. Over the past five years, the trio has collaborated with Nate Wooley, Sofia Jernberg, Madison Greenstone, Marta Warelis, Anna Webber, and Christian Wolff.
