Swedish reed player-composer Anna Högberg put her critically acclaimed Attack band on hold in 2020, retraining as a nurse while continuing her solo practice and playing in other groups, most often with Mats Gustafsson’s Fire! Orchestra. Fortunately, Högberg Attack is back, now a double sextet, with Ensamseglaren (The Lone Sailor), a suite dedicated to her late father, the Ensamseglaren, pictured on the album cover as a young boy. The album was recorded at the legendary Atlantis Grammofon studios in Stockholm in October 2024.
