Ü is an Italian, improvisation-focused quartet based between Milan, Ivrea, and Rimini, with an unconventional instrumentation, comprised of percussionists Filippo Abrate and Thomas Canna, who met during their studies at the Siena National Jazz Academy, and Giovanni Falascone on prepared piano, and clarinettist Alessandro Luppi, long-time collaborators active in the Milan free music scene.

ταὐτό is Ü’s third album. The word ταὐτό comes from the Ancient Greek τό “the” and αὐτό “same”. ταὐτό is a transformation from within the sound and toward the sound itself.
