The monumental double album Strata, Act (Joy Contemporary)* documents radical, complex, and interpid, free improvised electroacoustic performances by the singular British pianist and electronics player Pat Thomas, of [ahmed] أحمد, with the experimental duo XT of sax player Seymour Wright (also a music critic) who also plays in [ahmed], playing on actual and potential saxophone, and drummer Paul Abbott, who recorded a duo album with Thomas (28.4.16. OTORoku, 2016), playing real and imaginary drums. This trio was recorded live at Cafe OTO in London and Rote Fabrik in Zürich in June 2022.
