In August 2025, seven seasoned musicians gathered in Hans Mittendorf’s Gallery La nouvelle pâtisserie in Seesen, on the edge of the Harz Mountains in Lower Saxony for a series of intimate and intuitive, five free improvised duos, one trio, and two solo pieces. The musicians were Swiss violinist Matthias Boss (also a painter and sculptor), British pioneer of signal processing instrument Lawrence Casserley (known for his work with Evan Parker Electro-Acoustic ensembles), Spanish 10-string microtonal guitarist Pascal Marzan (of London Improvisers Orchestra), Mittendorf (a former student of Casserley at the Royal College of Music in London) on keyboards, Portuguese cellist Guilherme Rodrigues (known for his collaborations with his father, violinist Ernesto Rodrigues, who runs the Creative Sources
