Dave Tucker is a British, London-based free improviser. conductor, and sound artist, known mostly as a guitarist, but he also plays the banjo, double bass, violin, soprano sax, percussion, synths, and electronics, and he also sings. He has collaborated with innovative improvisers such as Evan Parker, John Stevens, Phil Minton, and Pat Thomas (in the Scatter quartet), Steve Beresford, Pat Thomas, Barre Phillips, and Otomo Yoshihide. Hannah Marshall is a fellow British experimental cellist, free improviser, composer, vocalist, sound artist, and educator who has played with Tucker in the London Improvisers Orchestra.
Tucker and Marshall’s supposed debut duo album, Lawns, started off as another project that never materialized. Marshall recorded her solo cello parts between 2020 and 2025, and Tucker added his double bass
