The Dietrichs are American, legendary tenor sax player Don Dietrich, known from the extreme and notorious free jazz meets free-improv noise trio, Borbetomagus, and his daughter, powerhouse cellist Camille Dietrich, who has already released three albums as a free improvising duo. Live Badhu was recorded at the Ear We Are festival in Biel, Switzerland, in February 2025.
Both the tenor sax and the cello are amplified, allowing the Dietrichs to extend their sonic palette with an array of pedals and effects, and melt into an almost inseparable, noisy sonic entity.
