The experimental, electroacoustic Re-Ghoster was founded in 2019 as a trio featuring British-Swiss drummer, percussionist, and electronics player (and visual player) Nicolas Field, fellow Swiss pianist and electronics player (and trumpeter) Thomas Florin, and Italian Valerio Tricoli on Revox tape and electronics. In 2021, it incarnated as the Re-Ghoster Extended, with French Jérôme Noetinger replacing Tricoli, and played with Revox tape and electronics, Glasgow-based vocalist and electronics player (and drummer, percussionist, and visual artist) Fritz Welch, and American Nate Wooley on acoustic and amplified trumpet.
Dreaming With The Lights On is the second album by Re-Ghoster Extended, following The Zebra Paradox (Konnekt, 2023). It was recorded live at the Archipel Festival in Genève in April 2023. Fritz designed the cover artwork.
