Linnéa Talp is a Swedish, Stockholm-based composer, pipe organ player, and vocalist, whose body of work is based on air, timbre, and slowly evolving harmonics, in which she aims for the vague and subtle qualities of sounding and listening. Her practice is centered around presence and a bodily listening, with breathing as its very foundation.
Variations for Light Waves consists of seven minimalistic and ethereal pieces focused on the breath and the hum of various pipe organs, including the meantone baroque organ in the Tyska kyrkan in Stockholm, a small, beautiful pipe organ in the funeral chapel, Lötsjö kapellet, outside Stockholm, and a Buchala modular synth, all played by Talp.
