Birgit Ulher is a German, Hamburg-based experimental trumpeter, sound artist, and composer, who has developed a range of extended playing techniques for the trumpet, allowing her to craft a unique musical language centered around sound. She works with the trumpet, radio, metal foil, and everyday objects to produce electronically resonant sounds using purely acoustic means. Dutch, Arnhem-based Jaap Blonk is a self-taught vocal artist, sound poet, electronics player, visual artist, and owner of the Kontrans label, who needs no introduction.
Breezes was recorded at Westwerk in Hamburg in August 2025, with Ulher playing the trumpet, augmented by radio, loudspeakers, and objects, with Blonk on electronics and
