Ghazal Faghihi is an Iranian, Belgium-based young, classically trained clarinetist and improviser, who explores the full sonic possibilities of both historical and modern clarinet through improvisation and electronics. She is part of the Brussels-based LIE (laboratoire d’improvisation expérimentale), a multidisciplinary collective that thrives on non-hierarchical, horizontal collaboration.
Penumbra is her debut album, recorded in the neighbourhood of Sint-Paulus church in the city of Ghent in June 2025.
