David Vélez is a Colombian interdisciplinary artist and researcher whose sonic practice investigates the political intersections of sound, food, and everyday life. His sonic aesthetics are grounded in listening as a critical sensibility, and his work fosters empathy toward social and environmental diversity, challenging anthropocentric and colonial narratives while blurring boundaries between human and non-human, audible and inaudible. Vélez investigates the acoustics of food and horticulture, emphasising the sensibility of edible plants and their ecosystems to sound.
Bruno Duplant is a prolific French composer, sound artist, writer, and poet. For him, composing and playing music is similar to imagining, creating new spaces or realities, new entities which he calls fictions. But it is also a reflection on memory and on all that is invisible, intangible.
