Audrey Lauro is a Belgian, Brussels-based alto sax player, devoted to experimental music and particularly to free improvisation, constantly questioning the language of instrument, phrase and sonic event. French, Lille-based and long-time comrades, trumpeter Christian Pruvost and drummer Peter Orins, belong to the local musicians collective Muzzix, and are the French half of the Japanese-French quartet KAZE (with Satoko Fujii and Natsuki Tamura).
The free improvised Dans-sons as we are was recorded at La Malterie in Lille in February 2025 and features this ad-hoc, acoustic and collective trio experimenting with unorthodox, otherworldly sounds, timbres, and other acoustic phenomena shaped patiently and subtly with deep listening dynamics, focus on detail, extended breathing and percussive techniques,
