Prismatic is a four-part electro-acoustic suite that is reminiscent of the structure of a film noir. It documents the first collaboration of Italian, Florence-based trumpeter-composer Marco Baldini (known for his work with the contemporary ensemble Blutwurst, dedicated to the graphic scores by composers like John Cage, Christian Wolff, Morton Feldman, Cornelius Cardew, Alvin Lucier, and La Monte Young); Berlin-based, Austrian double bass player-pianist-sound artist-composer Werner Dafeldecker (known for his with with the experimental ensemble Polwechsel, who recorded, mixed, and mastered this album); and tapes and turntables player Jens Strüver (co-founder of the experimental label M=minimal, which released Dafeldecker’s album with percussionist fellow austrian Martin Brandlmayr and guitarist Christian Fennesz, Till The Old World’s Blown Up And
