sOnic alchemy – Ponder Reflections

sOnic alchemy is the Berlin-based experimental duo of Portuguese drummer-percussionist-electronics player Sofia Borges and German-Italian double bass and electronics player Klaus Janek, who explore the transitional space between acoustic material and electroacoustic manipulation conceived on paper, or imagined live. Borges and Janek use electronics to manipulate and expand their extended percussive and bowing techniques and sonic palettes.

Ponder Reflections is sOnic alchemy’s debut album, recorded live at Morphine Raum in Berlin in March 2025, and featuring three untitled free improvisations.
