Erwan Keravec is a French bagpipe player and composer who has moved the bagpipes away from their traditional usage to explore the full range of their peripheral sounds. He combines traditional Breton music with free improvisation, noise, and contemporary music. He is known for his arrangements of Terry Riley’s iconic “In C” and Philip Glass’ early works for the Offshore bagpipe ensemble, as well as his work with innovative improvisers like Jean-Luc Cappozzo, Hamid Drake, and Mats Gustafsson.
