Nathalie Forget is a French Ondes Martenot (early electronic instrument) virtuoso player who also studied musical philosophy, with a focus on Olivier Messiaen, and in visual arts (photography and performance). She is regularly invited to the Festival Messiaen au Pays de la Meije, and continues to perform his major works for Ondes Martenot. She has played all over the world with leading conductors and ensembles, but also with free improvisers and art-rock bands like ErikM, Faust, and Radiohead. She combines the Ondes Martenot with contemporary art in performance and pieces alongside sculptures, voices, photographs, and projections, in which she interrogates the notions of Utopia, vibrant and revealing animality, love, torture, and indifference.
