Two more live recordings from the 2024 European tour of American alto sax player Jon Raskin, co-founder of the legendary Rova Saxophone Quartet and a long-time researcher of the linguistic possibilities of the saxophone. This tour focused on local venues presenting experimental and free improvised music, and already produced the album Brötz Now! (Temescal, 2026, with pianist Sten Sandell and electronics player Tim Perkis).
The Celeste club in Vienna has hosted a free improvised session every Monday since 2005, often with visiting guests who collaborate with local improvisers. This series of improvised sessions was initiated by the late American sax player Marco Eneidi, who resided in Vienna.
