Sofia Borges is a Portuguese, Berlin-based experimental drummer-percussionist, electroacoustic musician, and visual artist. She has developed a sonic language in which percussion and electronics form a single instrumental practice, exploring the physical, spatial, and sonic possibilities of an expanded percussion setup. She designs and programs her own electronic systems, incorporating customized electronic devices and controllers to create instruments, processes, and interactive structures that respond directly to her performance practice. Yedo Gibson is a Brazilian tenor and soprano sax player and free improviser based in Amsterdam and Lisbon.
