Resta chi va is the second album of Italian double bass player-composer Antonio Borghini and his Berlin-based, international sextet Banquet of Consequences, following the self-titled debut album (We Insist!, 2024). The album was recorded at the same location as the debut album, Studio Zentrifuge in Berlin, in a live performance in November 2024, and features the same lineup: French alto sax player Pierre Borel (who plays with Borghini in Die Hochstapler quartet), British, Amsterdam-based tenor sax player-clarinetist Tobias Delius, Turkish cellist Anil Eraslan, Japanese pianist Rieko Okuda, Australian drummer Steve Heather, and Borghini on the double bass.
Borghini wrote the ten pieces in early 2024 during a winter stay in Marseille, using songs, sketches, and fragments as an invitation to convivial counterpoint. Borghini dedicates the music to the Banquet of Consequences’ musicians and to
