Siesta features a free improvising piano trio, featuring American, Brooklyn-based experimental pianist Eli Wallace, known for his extended techniques of playing inside the piano, with the Argentinian rhythm section of double bass player Pablo Vázquez and drummer Marcelo von Schultz. This trio was formed in a chance meeting in Buenos Aires in July 2023. They first performed at the local Prez jazz club, followed by a European tour, during which their debut album was recorded at Kühlspot Social Club in Berlin in May 2024.
