Sarah Rose Weaver is an American, New York-based contemporary composer, conductor, technologist, educator, and researcher working as a specialist in ensemble composition and network arts. Her composition system explores contemplative concepts of synchrony, synthesis, transmission, and interconnection for artistic and social purposes through networking music and intermedia elements in notation, structured improvisation, and gestures.

Weaver’s Transmission Series consists of five contemporary works for solo, chamber, and large ensemble improvising performances, conceived from 2022 to 2025. The series features innovative American improvisers like percussionist Gerry Hemingway, flutist Robert Dick, trombonist David Taylor, and sax player Jane Ira Bloom, all of whom have collaborated with Weaver before and performed her compositions.
