Convergência do Vôo is a free improvised session of masters of the art of the moment – American cellist Fred Lonberg-Holm (who is also an honorary Portuguese given his many working relationships with Portuguese musicians. He is also the owner of the Flying Aspidistra label), the only cellist who has performed in a duo with Peter Brötzmann. Lonberg-Holm began working with legendary Portuguese violinist Carlos “Zingaro” more than twenty years ago, and more recently with fellow Portuguese double bass player João Madeira and “Zingaro” (the head of the 4DaRECORD label) on the albums Enleio, with Portuguese bass clarinetist Bruno Parrinha, and No Parede, with Swiss guitarist Flo Stoffner (both albums released by 4DaRECORD, 2025).
