Marianne Schuppe is a German, Basel-based vocalist and composer of music for voice, exploring the space between music and language, an area where the grain of words merges with the fluidity of sound. through improvisation, interpretation, and reweighing the traditional ingredients of song. In recent years, she has focused on the borderlands where music passes into poetry.
Italian, Berlin-based cellist Deborah Walker is a new music performer and improviser, who is interested in multiple forms of music creation related to the exploration of sound and interaction with other art forms. She is a member of the French ensemble Dedalus, and of the improviser orchestra ONCEIM, and has worked with composers like Pascale Criton, Éliane Radigue, Philip Corner, and Phill Niblock.
