The Berlin-based free improvising working trio of alto and Belgian-Canadian alto and baritone saxes and electronics player Peter Van Huffel, Japanese pianist, keyboard and electronics player Rieko Okuda, and Portuguese drummer-percussionist and electronics player Sofia Borges (who also did the cover artwork, and plays with Okuda in the all-female SORBD quintet) dedicates its debut album to “those who had no voice in war but bore its deepest wounds”. The trio recorded its debut album live at Morphine Raum in Berlin in December 2024.
The album is titled after the astronomical concept of Lagrangian points, specific locations in space where the gravitational forces of two large bodies (like the Sun and Earth) balance the centrifugal
