Hands is the experimental trio initiated by Danish (with Argentinian roots), Copenhagen-based guitarist and electronics player Mark Solborg, with German vocal artist Almut Kühne and his frequent collaborator, Italian, Copenhagen-based clarinetist and motion-controlled processing Francesco Bigoni (who often plays with Solborg in a trio with Italian drummer Emanuele Maniscalco). This trio was inspired by Danish author, philosopher, and theologian K.E. Løgstrup (1905-1981), who said: “We never have anything to do with another human being without holding something of their life in our hands”.
The Hands trio first played together during the Danish-German friendship year of 2020, when Solborg and Goethe Institut Dänemark invited Kühne to join him and Bigoni at the Willumsen Museum for interpretations of the works of Danish multi-artist Jens Ferdinand Willumsen
