Space is the Swedish, Stockholm-based free-improv piano trio of pianist Lisa Ullén (known from her collaborations with double bass player Nina de Heney and cellist Okkyung Lee), double bass player Elsa Bergman, and drummer Anna Lund. The three musicians first played together in the first incarnation of Anna Högberg Attack!, and like Högberg’s ongoing pursuit of artistic renewal, this trio avoids being shackled to any ideas about what a piano trio should be.
