Independent / Interdependent brings together a unique, ad-hoc free improvising trio of the Greek great vocalist and vocal artist Savina Yannatou, known for interpretations of traditional Mediteranean folk songs with the Primavera En Salonico ensemble as well as her free-improvised work with Barry Guuy and his Blue Shroud ensemble, prolific Portuguese double bass player Gonçalo Almeida, who is involved in variety of projects that go from modern jazz, free jazz, metal, contemporary music, and free improvised music, and experimental Greek composer Costis Drygianakis, known for his work with field recordings, tape manipulation, and sound collage, on sound processing. The trio was recorded live during the Take 2 Festival at Mikri Skini in Thessaloniki, in March 2025.
