French-German, Strasbourg-based double bass player and composer Pascal Niggenkemper is known for his highly personal musical language infused with extended double bass techniques. He is also a musician concerned with the dangerous effects of climate change on the oceans and the nearby surroundings, as explored in his recent album with the Ensemble Tuvalu, d’une rive à l’autre (subran music, 2026).
