- Verónica Cerrotta is an Argentine sound artist, experimental composer, and field recordist, based in the countryside of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She uses field recordings as raw material for composition, moving between soundscape and experimental electroacoustic music. She explores environmental listening and everyday sound environments to create imaginary spaces and sonic fictions.
She is a member of the collective a.hop, an international sound art band of nine people, founded in 2020. This collective focuses on experimental sound creation in performance, installation, radio and recording, photography, projections, and kinetic sound sculpture. The collective explores language, cultural experiences, memory, geography, and global time zones.
