Further Reflections is the fifth album of the experimental, free improvising Trio Sowari – British, London-based Phil Durrant on semi-modular analog synth and electronics, Swiss-French, Paris-based tenor sax player Bertrand Denzler, and German, Berlin-based percussionist Burkhard Beins, in its more than twenty years of existence. The album was recorded at La Muse en Circuit in Alfortville, France, in January 2024.
Durrant, Denzler, and Beins have developed highly personal, disciplined, and investigative approaches to their instruments, with close attention to detail. Trio Sowari focuses on investigating the timbres and resonant electroacoustic possibilities within the trio as well as asymmetric structures and multilayered ambiguities.
